Right – bit slack finishing last week’s practical exercise but had a play around with it today …


One of the main issues I looked at with this is to do with browser issues and particularly how Internet Explorer treats the :hover class on elements other than the anchor tag (<a>). IE6 did not support the behaviour and looking at IE7, it seems there is only partial support – it works on the paragraph (<p>) tag but not for the header.

Obviously if IE is not supporting the W3C standard (though actually it seems to get most of them per this example) it’s a bit slack, but I can’t think of too many instances where this would be used – if you look at my example above it’s pretty off putting from a usability point of view.
